Stijn Jodts

Stijn Jodts is a belgian marching drummer and instructor. Thaught by Walter Vanbecelaere at the Conservatory of Oostende, he graduated as a percussionist in 2004. These studies gave him a broad spectrum of playing percussion; orchestral, jazz, pop/rock as well as playing any major percussion instrument.

Besides his studies at the Conservatory he marched with Drumband Chiro Vagadam ('93-'95) and Showkorps WIK ('95-'00). In 2001 he joined Kameleon Percussion. With this percussion ensemble/drumband he won three Belgian national Vlamo-championships thaught by the (in)famous instructor Johan Delacauw. In 2004 he crossed the pond to further specialize himself in marching percussion and marched with the New York Skyliners to compete in the DCA World Championships.

Back in Belgium he was instructor at Drumband dINK, Blankenberge and Showkorps The Flemish Girls, Lokeren in 2004-2005. Since 2011 he is a licensed instructor of Vlamo. Nowadays he is working with KH Drumband 'De Burgersgilde, Lichtervelde and freelance instructor and clincian.
